to make myself abundantly clear- finnrey and finnpoe are both wonderful. i love them BOTH. me celebrating exciting moments related to either of them is not meant to be interpreted as rubbing it in the face of shippers of either ships. given the strong likelihood that finnrey will be canon, i just want people to know that me gushing about it/wholeheartedly supporting it DOES NOT negate my love for finnpoe. i think a lot of people feel the same way.

first and foremost, i love finn. i am touched by the profound and moving relationship he has with rey, and with poe, and hopefully soon with rose. seeing him be loved in any capacity brings me so much joy. so if/when finnrey becomes canon, please don’t think that i’m overjoyed that a mlm relationship between two non-white men did not become canon. i will be overjoyed to see finn being loved by someone, period.

i will always be both a finnrey and a finnpoe supporter, no matter what becomes canon. finn being in love and loved in return is a beautiful thing that i think we can all appreciate, regardless of who it ends up being with.
