So if you ever want to cry some more, here you go:  Leia is standing in the throne room of the Theed palace, where Padme Amidala sat as Queen of her planet, where she stood toe to toe with the Trade Federation who were trying to oppress and take over her planet.

This is the exact same room, that is the desk that Padme sat at, where she’d hidden two blasters for a back-up plan, where she refused to let corruption and greed and evil win.

That is where Leia stands and says, “Hope is the reason we’re going to win.”

Leia Organa stood in the same place that Padme Amidala once stood, making a similar vow to bring hope and peace to the people she’d sworn to protect.  They may never have known each other, but they were both cut from the same brilliant, incredible cloth.
