imarealfanboy:

So Noah Schnapp was harassed this morning for a tweet in which he referred to Byler as an iconic friendship. He was literally called Homophobic.

Now, I don’t give a shit how old you are, what you ship, or how you feel about it. A 13 year old CHILD actor is just as entitled to his interpretation of a show and a potential ship as you and I are. He sees Byler as a friendship, and that’s just as valid as you thinking that Byler would be boyfriends when they get older.

When the fuck did Fandom get so toxic that we start hating on children for not shipping the same stuff fans do? What happened to proper discourse and letting others have differing points of view? When did we start hating on child actors for daring to have a different view on a ship?

It’s unacceptable, it’s sick, and frankly, Fandom should act better toward the actors.
