Joyce is anxious more often than not it’s something that Karen has known but has really learned more about in the six months of their relationship. One thing that she’s found that helps is playing with Joyce’s hair. It makes her putty in Karen’s hands. Sometimes after school when Joyce has had a stressful day Karen will come over and let Joyce lay in her lap and play with her hair until Joyce’s breath evens out and she’s sure she’s asleep.
